Pro Academy
The New Approach to Performance Tennis
25 Hrs Intensive Coaching Programme
The 2010
Pro Academy is designed for players with an advanced standard, who want to improve their technical, tactical, physical and mental level through an intense 25 - hour weekly training programme. The philosophy of our Academy is to educate players to adopt the correct attitude on the practise court and in matches. Throughout the programme, players will increase their understanding of the game to help them on their way to maximise their potential. Our coaching team will tailor the players' technical needs and players will also experience the levels of fitness required to succeed.
The programme is split into two sessions. In both sessions the ratios never exceed 4 players per court. One 2 hour session from 08:00 - 10:00 (1 hour 08:00-09:00 for 10 & U) followed by an intensive 3-hour session (1:4 pro/player ratio) from 16:00 - 19:00 in the afternoon incorporating a comprehensive fitness programme. (NB: exact times may vary through the year).
The Pro Academy is split into 4 age groups; 8-10 yrs, 10-12 yrs, 13-15 yrs and 16-19 yrs. There is a minimum standard of play for players participating in the Pro Academy. Players must have a high standard of play and be regular tournament players.
The Pro Academy is an intense training camp and we do require this minimum playing standard. We do reserve the right to switch a player into what we believe more suitable coaching if this minimum standard is not attained. We will however always guarantee that we will provide coaching suitable to every level. Nobody will be turned away and not given an alternative more appropriate coaching programme.
